San Francisco Marina Motel Reviews
La Luna Inn
Renovated classic motel at the Golden Gate Bridge approach. A conversion of a kitschy 1960's motel into a modern, convenient bargain - very popular with our readers.
Francisco Inn by the Bay
Good budget chain in convenient location near Van Ness @ Lombard.
Castle Inn Motel
Highly recommended budget choice in the Van Ness corridor near Pacific Heights.
Hotel Del Sol
"The rooms are clean, bright (if you don't like color, don't stay here), and attractively furnished, including a clock radio that can make the sounds of waves & rain. A thumbs-up for the price..."
Broadway Manor Inn
Only steps from the Inn on Broadway, explore the shops and art galleries of Ghirardelli Square. Visit the legendary Chinatown or take a walk by the world's "crookedest" street. The Hard Rock Cafe as well as the Golden Gate Bridge is also nearby.
Buena Vista Motor Inn
The Buena Vista is an excellent choice for visitors who want to be in walking proximity to Fisherman's Wharf, the crooked street, cable cars, and many excellent restaurants. The Golden Gate Bridge is only a 5 minute bus ride away.
Lombard Motor Inn
Lombard Motor Inn was a clean and safe place to stay, and at a reasonable price. The Assistant Manager on duty during the day was very friendly, and was able to give advice about how to get around town, gave me maps, etc.
Chelsea Motor Inn
The Chelsea Motor Inn on Lombard was a great place to stay. From the start of the reservation process (complete with them sending me a confirmation letter, with map and brochure) to the maid service to check out, and all points in between...
Coventry Motor Inn
The Coventry was a good value compared to it's competitors. My family of 4 stayed 5 days. Cost was $135 a day before our 10% AAA discount (which we joined just for the discount). The hotel is secure, and with ample parking, which was included.
San Remo Motel
Fisherman's Wharf is a touristy area to visit and a centrally located place to stay. Hotels here tend to charge premium prices and the area contains many tourist attractions.
Cow Hollow Inn
at the Cow Hollow Motor Inn in September. We were delighted with the hotel, the room, and the location. The reasonable rates, along with the free parking was a huge plus.
Motel Capri
This Motel is great. It is in the Marina district which is nice. You could have everything you need right here if you didn't want to go anywhere else. 1 mile West of the Wharf, 1 mile East of the Golden Gate.
Marina Motel
I would like to highly recommend the Marina Motel. The room was very clean and comfortable with two double beds and an in-room refrigerator. Our room was a courtyard room so the noise from busy Lombard Street did not bother us at all.
Marina Inn
"...The room was large (with six windows!), clean and comfortable, with English country pine furniture and floral wallpaper...We greatly enjoyed our brief stay and, should we ever return to San Francisco, we will stay at the Marina Inn again."
Comfort Inn by the Bay
The location of this hotel is ideal, right between Pacific Heights, the Marina District, and Fisherman's Wharf. Public transit access from Van Ness is excellent. The hotel was clean and safe with a polite staff.
Ramada Limited - Golden Gate
"...Chestnut Street area has an almost "village" feel to it and is a tranquil contrast to the uptown area..."
Surf Motel
The Surf Motel was our best lodging experience in S.F. We are a couple from Malaysia, traveling for the first time, to the USA.
Columbus Motor Inn
The Columbus Motor Inn is actually located in a cool semi-residential part of North Beach on the edge of Fisherman's Wharf.
Nob Hill Motor Inn
Convenience and great value at one of San Francisco's most well-reviewed visitor hotels. Make sure to check it out.
America's Best Value Inn - Golden Gate
Great budget hotel located near Union Street and Chestnut Street shopping and restaurants. Inexpensive, basic value lodging near great activities outside the tourist core.
Queen Anne Hotel
B&B feel in a small, historically beautiful hotel in the Western Addition (not in the Marina area). Budget hotel prices.
Ansonia Abby Hotel
The Ansonia's 125 rooms cater primarily to non-U.S. visitors looking for no-frills accomodations with meals included. Andy's rating (assuming you seek hostel-type accomodations) is B-.
Pacific Heights Inn
The Inn was a pleasant surprise. It was extremely inexpensive and conveniently located to many attractions. The motel included plush colorful towels (not the usual thin scratchy ones), free refrigerator use, and free parking.
The Oasis Inn
Yes, you have to walk through the HEART of the Tenderloin to get to the Powell St. Station, SOMA, etc., but just down the street there's a bus stop for the 31 line which takes you straight there.
