Hotel Drisco

San Francisco Review

Hotel Drisco in San Francisco

Highly Recommended: "This is a small luxury hotel that has a lot of charm, excellent service, and ***great*** views from high on an elegant residential hillside..."

B.W. raves, "Our room was simple, elegant, large and delightful, with beautiful sliding pocket doors that separated the bedroom from the sitting area. Service was friendly, but reactive rather than proactive. Some will not like location because shopping and restaurants require a cab ride unless you don't mind a steep 6 block walk. However, we absolutely loved the quiet residential setting among some of SF's most fabulous mansions. Also, fit outdoorsy types will love the fact that Presidio National Park is two blocks away. Great continental breakfast spread. Other guests seemed friendly and interesting with a lot of Bay area locals who needed to stay in the city for one reason or another. Echoing the sentiments of a reader reviewing Union Street Inn, I can't imagine why anyone would stay downtown. Visit downtown. Stay in Pacific Heights. I felt like I was in on a well kept secret. Spring for a City/Bay suite. It's well worth the price."

F.D. writes, "Had a very nice stay at the El Drisco Hotel in Pacific Heights. This is a small luxury hotel that has a lot of charm, excellent service, and great views. Ammenities included a wine and cheese sampling each evening featuring wines from Napa and Sonoma, and a delicious Continental Breakfast each morning. Bathroom was all marble, bed was very comfortable. This is a nice place for a woman traveling solo-safe neighborhood and hotel staff was accomodating. Be aware hotel does not have a restaurant however and parking is scarce. Also advise taking cabs since hotel is located on one of the steepest hills in area." Typical pricing ranges from $200 to $300 per night, depending on season.
