M.S. writes, "The Parc 55 has good proximity to the Financial District, BART, and Union Square. It's a great call for
business or vacations -- you can get anywhere easily from the hotel's central location. The staff is accommodating and has excellent room service
dinners and desserts. I especially love their tarts-- room service goes until midnight! The Parc 55's rooms are luxurious. The hotel also offers the
SF Chronicle to replace the bland USA Today. Coffee, croissants, and networking are served every morning at 10 a.m."

I booked this hotel on Hotwire and paid $85/night. Although Hotwire doesn't publish hotel names until after you buy, I was able to determine that this hotel was Parc 55 by comparing Hotwire details with information shared by previous Hotwire customers on comparison websites.
I had read mixed reviews about this hotel. I would say that the location is superb. The hotel is located at the Powell Street BART station, and therefore very easy to access from SFO or OAK airport.
The hotel lobby and staff were wonderful, and I loved the free business center. This made it easy to do advanced check-in for my flight and avoid line-ups at the airport. As another poster mentioned, this is at the turnaround for the cable car. Ride early to avoid lines.
The lounge serves very large martinis (4 oz I guess) and have 2nd one half price during happy hour.
The room was so-so. Nothing special but it had a great view. Overall, this is a typical 4 star hotel and a great price from Hotwire."
Chris writes, "It's a nice hotel. not really world class but
well appointed with every convenience really with
the exception of a few things (food or beverage
service after midnight won't happen)
the rooms are cute. normal size nice decor. the
location of this place is really one of the best
things about it."
