The Coventry Inn

San Francisco Motel

1901 Lombard

Rooms from as low as $135 - pricing dependent on season.

Henry writes, "The Coventry was a good value compared to it's competitors. My family of 4 stayed 5 days. Cost was $135 a day before our 10% AAA discount (which we joined just for the discount). The hotel is secure, and with ample parking, which was included. Our room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The room was clean and decorated nicely. There was a large bathroom, with plenty of space for all of us to "spread our stuff out". Coffee maker in the room. The Coventry was Somewhat noisy from Lombard Street traffic, but not a big problem as we were exhausted every evening from running around town. Conveniently located to restaurants and local attractions. MANY ethnic restaurants within easy walking distance. Check out Union and Fillmore Streets for food as well as Lombard. One block from the (electric!) bus line to take you to Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman's Wharf. Eight blocks to the "crookedest street in the world" block on Lombard. Had a rental car, but didn't need to use it every day. Desk Clerks were friendly and helpful. Very comfortable & recommended."

Minnesota Mike writes, "My wife and I are in SF twice a year and always stay at the Coventry. You are right about Lombard. Anyone can save over downtown rates and get a nicer, bigger room. I love the Coventry. They always have parking, even later at night and that's the biggest reason to stay there. They treat us nice and Lombard is a very good location to see SF from. We walk to the bay (4 blocks) and go to the Fisherman's Wharf area and use the ferrys and ride to Sausalito and Tiburon every time we're out in SF."

K. loved it, "My friend and I retreated to the Coventry motor inn, after staying in a horrid hotel near the Tenderlion. The Coventry was nice, clean, but the best aspect of this hotel was the staff. They were funny and nice and helped us as much as they possible could. I am going back to SF in a few weeks and am definately staying at the Conventry!"

B.K. writes happily, "We tried out the Coventry Motel on Lombard last fall, and it was great. The motel is close to everything and their rooms are clean and pleasant. Ours was very quiet!. There was free parking at the motel, and we walked to breakfast at a charming local restaurant the next day. I would definitely stay there again!"

Cathy writes, "My family of four stay at Coventry Inn during our vacation to San Francisco in July. It was a great location to the wharf and with in walking distance to several restaurants. The staff was wonderful and the rooms were very clean. We had an adjoining room which was great for the four of us to visit after we were back in our rooms. We stayed on the quiet side of the hotel and had no noise to bother us at night. I would stay there again on my next vixit to SF! "
