Our readers write in 2005, "My family and I have never enjoyed a nicer stay, anywhere, and at a very reasonable price. We enjoyed great food, vintage furnishings, a helpful and friendly staff at Albion House. Our rooms were well-appointed and quiet. Wonderful artwork hands throughout. In parking-short San Francisco, The Albion house had a couple of spaces right in front. The neighborhood was wonderfully convenient. We'd give this inn our highest rating.

MG writes in Spring 2004, "I want to comment on your review of the Albion House Inn. It's totally outdated, and your description of the area as seedy is crazy. There is an elementary school, a fire station, bars and restaraunts and close to public transportation. The new SF conservatory for music is going to open here soon. The highways are gone... I live in this area and am booking this hotel for my parents to stay in because its not only convenient, but also cute, a GREAT area of town to stay (close to everything) and if you think this area of town is seedy, you obviously haven't been very far outside of SF at all."

In April 2000, the Innkeeper (Carol) responds "...We are under new management, and have totally restored the inn to its original grandeur...wonderful working fireplace in a living room with 20' high beams, new carpets everywhere, new and dramatic drapes, brilliant chandeliers, spectacular original oil paintings by the International Artist, Sachal, breakfasts that are legendary amongst our clientele, the signature of a professional, highly experienced and hospitable staff, wines delivered at sunset, goodies on the buffet table all day with coffee or tea, robes, shampoo, conditioner, cable TV and VCR's and radio alarm clocks in every room, and all the amenities that make Albion House Inn a traveler's home away from home..."
