250 Beach Street This Bay front hotel, located at 250 Beach Street has a great location and excellent value. The large hotel (355 rooms) is right at the foot of the wharf -- very convenient to Alcatraz tours. Rates vary by room but average around $220 per night. The hotel includes a heated year-round pool for guests. There are tons of retail shopping opportunities near the hotel and around the Wharf, including a full-service grocery store. The rooms are of average age and size - location is the story here with a reasonable quality room. A small portion of rooms (just 18) have views of San Francisco Bay, another 51 rooms overlook the outdoor pool / landscaped courtyard. The Hotel Zephyr Fisherman's Wharf occupies an entire city block, and is part of a complex including many shops and restaurants -- this is a great bayfront hotel at Fisherman's Wharf and the nearest to Pier 39 (one of America's top tourist destinations) and the San Francisco Bay Cruise docks. The lobby has plenty of comfortable couches and chairs. Rooms are contemporary and bright, with light brown carpeting, striped drapes, and cherry furniture. The hotel features 355 rooms, 3 restaurants, room service, complimentary wireless internet, refrigerators (some), cable TV, heated year-round pool, 24 hour workout facility and exercise equipment, laundry service, concierge, business services, parking (fee), no-smoking room. The Hotel Zephyr's rooms feature the SleepNumber beds and luxury style linens with oversize pillows.
A guest writes, "We stayed at the Hotel Zephyr Fisherman's Wharf last spring, The location is excellent for sight-seeing at Fisherman's Wharf, catching a trolley just a few blocks away at the Aquatic Park (beautiful spot for viewing the Golden Gate Bridge) and within blocks of many wonderful seafood and Italian restaurants. The staff were all friendly. The concierge had many helpful maps and schedules for streetcars, trolleys or BART. The rooms were small, but clean. There is a parking garage included with the hotel -- an important amenity, since it's better to park your car and use the public transportation (and more fun). This is one of the best places to start for a scenic drive or walk in the heart of SF."

very good ,the employees who worked behind the desk found it necessary to greet you with all their rules when you arrived and agressivley let you know consequences as soon as you checked in not tourist friendly after a flight
