Hotel Adagio

San Francisco Hotel Review

550 Geary @ Powell

Renovated in a Spanish theme and renamed from The Shannon Court to Hotel Adagio in Summer 2003.

Lesa writes, "It is an old Hotel w/the old mail box chutes (pretty cool). The outside of the bldg is very pretty and the inside is very nice. The rooms are nice as well. I would give it a 3 star with a 5 being excellent. It was very nice and clean. Not fancy, but fit the price."

Karen writes, "It's in the Union Square area, just a few blocks from the cable car line near Ellis and Geary Streets. Lobby is a good size and nicely done. Staff is very friendly and helpful with suggestions of what to do and how best to get there. We stayed here for a few nights. It's an older hotel, with clean, quiet, nice sized rooms, and an onsite restaurant. Best thing was the price back then was about $90/nite for a room with 2 double beds. I don't believe the room had air conditioning, but we opened a window. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was quite large."
