Moscone Convention Center
San Francisco Review
Popular Moscone Conventions and Hotels:
Although most out-of-town attendees believe that Moscone Center has always been at the center of San Francisco, it is a relatively new event
center. Moscone South opened in 1981 as part of a city initiative to revitalize the Yerba Buena area. Moscone North followed in 1992 and, still unable to keep
up with demand for convention space, the city finished Moscone West in 2003. Today the three structures cater to nearly 1 million exhibitors and attendees
every year. Within its walls is hosted a nonstop variety of conventions, from the tech-savvy
Macworld to the fantasy
babylon of Wondercon.
Popular conventions often (not always!) held at Moscone:
Macworld - Every January Moscone Center turns its doors open to
the Mac faithful for the most fantastic introductions to Apple’s lineup and the famous “one more thing” keynote from Steve Jobs.
APA Conference - American Psychological Association members
present their scientific and scholarly work and exchange experiences and techniques on the cutting edge of psychiatric treatment.
Wondercon - With over 90 hours (3 days!) of day and night programs, as well as
anime and gaming, this comic book conference is one of the biggest in the world.
Oracle World - Oracle’s OpenWorld conference is held every year at Moscone Center and only seems to get bigger and better as the
software giant takes the lead in the backend market.
Seybold Seminar - Internet publishing, printing, and graphic
arts professionals meet to show what the future holds and what’s already passé in their industry.
Recommended Hotels Near Moscone Convention Center:

very close to Moscone.."
Market Street Westin - Modern style just steps from Moscone with great views from most

searched for by our readers.
